Reduced-pressure drying is lower the pressure, then dry, the same thing as vacuum drying, only the name stresses that the pressure is below atmospheric.
Pharmacopeias often say dry in a reduced-pressure desiccator to constant weight, which is exactly this method. It runs at low temperature and resists oxidation, suiting heat-fearing and volatile samples.
Relation to vacuum drying
They share the same principle and equipment: heating and dehydrating under negative (vacuum) pressure. The only difference is terminology habit, engineers say vacuum drying, pharmacopeias or analysis say reduced-pressure drying. The DCT-A does both.

The LabStone DCT-A atmospheric/reduced-pressure constant-weight analyzer supports the reduced-pressure (vacuum) drying mode with automatic constant weight (inter-cycle difference below 0.3 mg), meeting the pharmacopeial dry to constant weight under reduced pressure requirement.
